Avifanz
( Efavirenz Tablet )
Avifanz® is a synthetic anti-retroviral (ARV) agent. It contains Efavirenz which is a Non-Nucleoside ReverseTrascriptase Inhibitor (NNRTI). Efavirenz is pharmacologically related to other Non-Nucleoside Reverse Trascriptase Inhibitors but it differs structurally from these drugs. Avifanz® in combination with other ARV is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infections. The adult recommended dose of Avifanz® is 600 mg orally once daily, in combination with a Protease Inhibitor and/or Nucloeside Revesr Transcriptase Inhibitors (NRTI).
