Beximco Pharma introduces NapaDol
Leading drug manufacturer Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd (BPL) has introduced for the first time in Bangladesh, NapaDol; combination of Paracetamol & Tramadol for the treatment of moderate to severe pain.
Fixed dose combination of Paracetamol & Tramadol provides better pain relief than the individual molecules. Moreover, after surgery, tramadol inj. often prescribed to relieve post operative pain. But, injection generally given for short time. In this case this combination would be effective as maintenance therapy of post operative pain. Apart from this, paracetamol & tramadol combination shows excellent efficacy against painful osteoarthritis flare, traumatic pain & low back pain. Results of the published clinical literature suggest that Tramadol/Paracetamol, by reducing the incidence of adverse events, provides benefits for patients. Till the launching of NapaDol, Paracetamol & Tramadol were being used separately for the management of pain. Combination of Paracetamol & Tramadol provides dosage convenience to patient.
