What is Nutrimin?
Nutrimin contains Amino acid, D-Sorbitol and Electrolytes.
Amino acids are essential for protein synthesis. The body uses protein to build muscle, repair tissue, fight infections and carry nutrients through the body. D-Sorbitol is a carbohydrate which has some metabolic advantage over glucose and which absorbs more slowly than glucose. Electrolytes are important for bone, nerve, organ and muscle function. They act as an essential co-factor in various enzyme systems.

  • Cannot eat enough – cancer patients, hyperthyroid, burn patient, bowel obstruction, fistula, IBD  etc.

What is dosage guideline Nutrimin?

  • Adults: Depending upon patients’ requirements, 1000- 2000 ml Nutrimin® may be infused intravenously per 24 hours. It should be infused slowly, at rates 1.4- 2.8 ml (30-60 drops) per minute.
  • Infants and Children: The recommended rate of infusion is 28-35 ml/kg body weight per day.
