Mr. Sohail Rahman is the founder of the Company. He graduated with a degree in Physics from the University of Dhaka in 1966 and also studied in the United Kingdom. Throughout his career he has held positions in many companies, including Chairman of IFIC Bank Limited; Director of Industrial Promotion & Development Company; Director of Arab Bangladesh Bank Limited; Director of Pubali Bank Limited and Director of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of North South University Foundation, which is the first private sector University in Bangladesh. |

Mr. Salman Rahman, brother of Sohail Rahman, is also one of the founders of the Company. He graduated from Karachi University in 1971. He has held a number of positions including: President of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries from 1994 to 1996; Chairman of the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute; a Bangladeshi institute for private sector advocacy and free market development; Chairman of the Board of Editors of "The Independent" an English daily newspaper in Bangladesh; Chairman of Abahoni Limited; a prominent sporting club within Bangladesh; President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry from 1996 to 1998; President of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, President of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association; and President of the Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association. |

Previously he was the publisher of "The Independent" an English daily newspaper in Bangladesh and the "Muktakantha", a Bengali national daily newspaper. |

Mr. Rahman graduated from the University of Calcutta in 1958 with a degree in Commerce. He qualified as a Cost & Management Accountant of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in 1978, is a Fellow of ICMAB and has been a member of the Council of ICMAB since 1986. He was President of the Institute for two terms, 1994 and 1996 and was also elected President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants for the year 1998 and was an advisor in 1999. He was a nominated member of the Turnover Tax Commission of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh from 1996 to 2002. Mr. Rahman had been associated with the Beximco Group of companies since September 1990. As well as his role as a Director of the Company, Mr. Rahman is also the Managing Director of Bangladesh Online Ltd. (an interment service providing company within the Beximco group of companies). Mr. Rahman is also a member of the Executive Committee of BPL. He has been with the company for nine years.
