Reflon® Glucosamine contains Glucosamine Hydrochloride INN. Glucosamine is a naturally occurring compound for the body's production of point lubricants and shock-absorbers necessary to maintain healthy cartilage and joint function. Glucosamine Hydrochloride is a prodrug for glucosamine that is well absorbed after oral administration and diffuses into several tissues, including bones and articular cartilages. The active ingredient in the treatment of osteoarthritis is glucosamine. The hydrochloride acid salt is the delivery vehicle.
