Neofloxin Eye& Ear Drops
( Eye/Ear Drops
Ciprofloxacin 0.3% )
(Neofloxin) ciprofloxacin has cidal and inhibitory activities against bacteria which result from an interference with DNA gyrase, an enzyme needed by the bacterium for the synthesis of DNA. Thus, vital information from the bacterial chromosomes cannot be transcribed, which causes a break-down of bacterial metabolism.
Ciprofloxacin has a very high in vitro activity against almost all gram negative microorganisms including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is also effective against gram positive bacteria, such as Staphylococci and Streptococci. Anaerobes are in general less susceptible.
Topical ocular administration of ciprofloxacin to immature animals did not cause any arthropathy and there is no evidence that the ophthalmic dosage form has any effect on the weight bearing points.
Neofloxin Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of different types of eye and ear infections.
Eye: Neofloxin eye drop is indicated for the treatment of corneal ulcers and superficial infections of the eye and adnexa caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
Ear: Neofloxin eye drop is indicated for the treatment of Otitis externa, acute otitis media, chronic suppurative otitis media. Prophylaxis in otic surgeries such as mastoid surgery.
Caution should be exercised when ciprofloxacin is administered to nursing mothers. Store in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children. Every plastic dropper bottle contains 5 ml sterile eye drops. Each ml contains Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Ciprofloxacin 3 mg.

Chloramphenicol 0.5% )
Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic active against a wide variety of gram-negative and gram-positive organisms. Chloramphenicol exerts its antibacterial effect by binding to bacterial ribosomes and inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at an early stage. Bacterial species like Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Other beta-haemolytic streptococci, Haemophilius influenze, Moraxella catarrhalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae are recognised conjunctival pathogens and may be susceptible to chloramphenicol.
Ocutrex Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of different type of eye and ear infections.
Eye: Chloramphenicol eye drops is indicated in surface bacterial infection involving conjunctiva or cornea. Instill one drop into the infected eye every 2 hours for the first 48 hours and 4 hourly thereafter
Ear: Chloramphenicol can inhibit or destroy the bacteria present in ear canal. Instill 2-3 drops into ear canal three to four times daily.
Every plastic dropper bottle contains 10 ml sterile eye drops. Each ml contains Chloramphenicol BP 5 mg. Store below 25o C, preferably in a refrigerator; do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Intramol Eye Drops
( Eye Drops Timolol 0.5% )
Intramol (Timolol maleate) is a beta1 and beta2 (non-selective) adrenergic receptor-blocking agent, when applied topically to the eye, has the action of reducing elevated, as well as normal, intraocular pressure, whether or not accompanied by glaucoma.
It is used in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. The dose is one drop of Timolol in the affected eye(s) once daily. Because in some patients the intraocular pressure-lowering response to Timolol may require a few weeks to stabilize, evaluation should include a determination of intraocular pressure after approximately 4 weeks of treatment.
Timolol has little or no effect on the pupil and should not be used alone in the treatment of angle-closure glaucoma.
Patients should not usually receive two topical ophthalmic beta-adrenergic blocking agents concurrently. Every dropper bottle contains 5 ml of sterile solution. Each ml contains Timolol Maleate BP equivalent to Timolol 5.0 mg.

Inflavis Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of different type of eye and ear disorder.
For Eye: Dexamethasone Phosphate is indicated for treatment of steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the eye such as: anterior uveitis, iritis, cyclitis, allergic and vernal conjunctivitis, herpes zoster keratitis, superficial punctate keratitis and non-specific superficial keratitis. Also indicated for the treatment of corneal injury from chemical, radiation or thermal burns or following penetration by foreign bodies. Inflavis indicated for post-operative use to reduce inflammatory reactions and suppress graft reaction.
For Ear: Indicated in the steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the external auditory meatus, such as allergic otitis externa, selected purulent and non-purulent infective otitis externa.
Administration of dexamethasone to the eye may rarely cause stinging, burning, redness or watering of the eyes. Topically applied dexamethasone is not recommended in breastfeeding mothers, as it is possible that traces of dexamethasone may enter the breast milk.
