Dexaqua
( Dextrose )
Dexaqua® is a sterile solution of Dextrose Monohydrate. Dexaqua® is administered in the treatment of carbohydrate and fluid depletions. It is mainly used to replace water deficiency and should be given alone when there is no significant loss of electrolytes. Dexaqua® is also given in regimens with calcium bicarbonate, and insulin for the emergency management of hyperkalaemia. It is also given, after correction of hyperglycaemia, during treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis, when they must be accompanied by continuing insulin infusion. Dexaqua® also may act as a suitable vehicle for the slow intravenous infusion of numerous drugs. The dose of Dextrose infusion is variable. It is dependent on individual patient requirements. The maximum rate of infusion that will not cause glycosuria is 0.5 g/kg/hr.
Dexaqua DS
( Dextrose )
Dexaqua®DS is a sterile solution of Dextrose Monohydrate. Dexaqua®DS is administered in the treatment of simple dehydration, carbohydrate depletion and hypoglycaemic coma. It is also used to provide a temporary increase in blood volume in haemorrhage and shock. Because of its high dextrose content it is indicated in jaundice, eclampsia, preeclampsia, general weakness, unconsciousness and when patient can not take anything by mouth. The volume and rate of infusion of dextrose solution will depend upon the requirements of the patient and the judgement of the physician. The recommended flow rate is 30-80 drops per minute, infused intravenously.
Dexoride
( 5 % Dextrose & 0.9% Sodium Chloride )
Dexoride® is a sterile solution of Dextrose and Sodium Chloride in water for injection. It effectively corrects electrolytes imbalance and ensures energy in emergency conditions. It also prevents shock in Dengue fever. Dexoride® is indicated in post surgical state, vomiting, shock, heat stroke, accidents/trauma and intoxications.
Filmet IV
( Metronidazole IV )
Filmet ® IV infusion is a sterile, pyrogen free, isotonic formulation for intravenous administration in susceptible life threatening infections. Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole with antiprotozoal and antibacterial actions. It has bactericidal action against a wide range of pathogenic anaerobic microorganisms. Filmet® IV is indicated in the prevention of post operative infections due to anaerobic bacteria, in the treatment of intraabdomianl infections, gynaecologial and obstetrical infections, respiratory infections etc.
Fructin
( Fructose )
Ensures better glucose control than sucrose or starch diets. It is effective in insulin resistant states and suitable for pregnant women. It is indicated as carbohydrate nutrient in diabetic patients, fluid replacement and caloric feeding.
Invigen
( Gentamycin Sulphate )
Invigen® is a sterile, ready-to-use, isotonic, pyrogen free solution of Gentamicin. Gentamicin is the most important of the aminoglycosides and is widely used for the treatment of serious infections. It is bactericidal and active against some Gram-positive and many Gram-negative organisms. Invigen® is indicated in Septicemia and neonatal sepsis, Meningitis and other CNS infections, Serious bacterial infections of Urinary tract, Respiratory tract, Gastrointestinal tract (including peritonitis), Skin, Bone & Soft tissue (including Burns), Biliary tract infections, Endocarditis caused by Strep. viridans or Strep. faecalis, Prophylaxis of surgical infections and the treatment of immunocompromised patients and those in intensive care. The daily dose is 2-5 mg/kg in divided doses every 8 hours.
Irigon
( Glycine 1.5 % w/v )
Irigon® (glycine irrigation solution) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, non-electrolyte and hypotonic aqueous solution of glycine intended for urologic irrigation during transurethral and bladder surgery procedures. Irigon minimizes the risk of intravascular haemolysis which can occur from absorption of plain water. Irigon® is rapidly degraded in the liver by glycine oxidase. Irigon is indicated as irrigating fluid of choice in Transurethral resection of prostate, Endoscopic procedures within the urinary tract, Urinary bladder surgery
Isoride
( Dextrose and Sodium Chloride )
Isoride ® is an isotonic sterile solution of Dextrose and Sodium Chloride in water for injections. Isoride ® solution is indicated in Dehydration accompanied by small Sodium Chloride deficiency. It provides Dextrose as a nutrient in a suitable medium of Sodium Chloride. It is usually used in the maintenance and replacement of fluid, electrolyte and carbohydrate in patients who are unable to take fluid and nutrients by mouth e.g. in pre and post operative fluid regime, shock or accidents. Dose is variable. It depends on the clinical condition, age and body surface area of the patients.
Koloride
( Dhaka Solution )
Most preferred IV solution for diarrhea which offers a balanced composition of electrolytes and prevents ARF. Koloride® is indicated in cholera, vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration.
Lactoride
( Hartmann®s solution )
Lactoride® is a sterile solution of Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Chloride and Sodium Lactate. Lactoride® is used to treat hypovolemia caused by surgery, hemorrhage and trauma. Excessive sweating, severe diarrhoea or vomiting, excess loss of fluid by nephrotic kidneys, inadequate intake of fluid and electrolytes etc. that may lead to typical hypovolemic shock may be corrected with Lactoride. Severe plasma loss caused by intestinal obstruction, burns or other denuding conditions of the skin may be treated with Lactoride. Lactoride is mainly used as a fluid and electrolyte replenisher. It may be used as an alternative to Sodium Bicarbonate in the treatment of metabolic acidosis associated with dehydration and to alkalinize urine.
Nalepsin
( Magnesium Sulphate 4% w/v )
Nalepsin® is a sterile intravenous infusion and ready- to- use, pyrogen free, isotonic solution of Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate. Each 100ml intravenous solution contains16.4 mmol of magnesium as magnesium sulphate heptahydrate BP 4.0g. Nalepsin® is indicated in the following conditions:To prevent convulsion in patients with preeclampsia, eclampsia, tetanus and acute uraemia. In acute myocardial infarction, arrythmia. To arrest premature labour. As an adjuvant in neurosurgery to lower the C.S.F pressure. For replacement therapy in hypomagnesaemia To control hypertension, encephalopathy and convulsion associated with acute nephritis in children.
Neoceptin R IV
( Ranitidine IV )
Neoceptin® R is a sterile, pyrogen free, isotonic formulation of Ranitidine for intravenous administration. Neoceptin® R is a competitive, reversible inhibitor of the action of histamine at the histamine-H2 receptors including the receptors of gastric cells. It inhibits basal and stimulated secretion of gastric acid, reducing both the volume and the acid-pepsin content of the secretion. Neoceptin® R is indicated for the treatment of duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer, post-operative ulcer, oesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. The usual adult dose of Neoceptin® R is 100ml containing 50mg Ranitidine which is to be administered 6 to 8 hourly over a period of 15 to 20 minutes at a rate of 5 to 7 ml per minute.
Neofloxin IV
( 0.2% Ciprofloxacin IV Infusion )
Neofloxin® IV is a clear, almost colorless to pale yellow sterile solution containing ciprofloxacin 2mg/ml in 100 ml bottle. Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic 4-quinolone derivative with bactericidal activity against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positve organisms. Neofloxin® IV is indicated in abdominal, colorectal, orthopaedic, neuro, cardio-thoracic, gynaecological surgery. It is also effective in life-threatening infections like typhoid, pneumonia, meningitis, RTIS, GITIS, UTIS, bone and joint infections, gonorrhoea, skin and soft tissue infections.
Neosol DS
( Sodium chloride in Dextrose )
Neoso® DS is a clear, almost colorless and sterile solution of Sodium chloride in Dextrose. Neoso® DS is IV fluid of choice in shock and oral feeding restrictions. It restores hemodynamic stability in children. Neosol® DS prevents acute renal failure in children caused by volume depletion.
Nutridex
( Dextrose 25% w/v )
Nutridex® 25 is a clear, colorless sterile solution of Dextrose Monohydrate. Each 100ml of solution contains Dextrose Monohydrate equivalent to Dextrose Anhydrous BP 25g. Nutridex 25 is administered as a parenteral nutrition solution in the treatment of carbohydrate depletion and hypoglycaemic coma. Because of its high dextrose content it is used in the treatment of cerebral edema, shock, circulatory collapse, unconsciousness and to correct hyperkalaemia with or without insulin.
Osmosol
( Mannitol BP 20% w/v )
Osmosol® -20 is a clear, almost colorless and sterile solution of Mannitol. Each 100 ml of Osmosol® -20 contains Mannitol BP 20 mg, administered parenterally, it raises the osmotic pressure of the plasma, thus drawing water out of the body tissues and produces an osmotic diuresis. It is indicated in the renal insufficiency, raised intracranial and intraocular pressure, edematous status, poisoning, reperfusion injury, bladder irrigation, bowel preparation and in termination of pregnancy.
Saloride
( Sodium chloride )
Saloride® is the IV preparation of isotonic solution. It corrects electrolyte loss after surgery and it is suitable IV admixture for infusing numerous drugs. Saloride® is also the IV fluid of choice for the management of metabolic alkalosis. Saloride® is indicated in surgery, admixture, metabolic alkalosis, flushing of IV catheters, hemodialysis and in blood transfusions.

Nutrimin contains Amino acid, D-Sorbitol and Electrolytes.

Evo IV Fluid
(Levofloxacin 0.5% w/v)
Evo®IV fluid is the solution of Levofloxacin 0.5% w/v. Levofloxacin is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. The doses of Evo®IV for community-acquired pneumonia is 500 mg once or twice daily, complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis) 250 mg once daily, chronic bacterial prostatitis 500 mg once daily, skin and soft tissue infections 500 mg twice daily, enteric fever 500mg once daily. The infusion time for Levofloxacin solution must be at least 30 minutes for 250 mg or 60 minutes for 500 mg. The dosage depends on the type and severity of the infection and the sensitivity of the causative pathogen. While taking Levofloxacin adequate amount of water should be drunk to avoid risk of crystalluria. Levofloxacin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing. Store at controlled room temperature. Protect from light. This IV Infusion is not intended for multi-dose use. Evo®IV is available in 100 ml polyethylene bottle containing 500 mg (5 mg/ml) Levofloxacin INN.
